Morgan joined Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers in 1958, where he further developed his talents as a soloist and composer. Blakey is heard along with Morgan in Expoobident, presented here, which features a strong hard bop quintet that also includes Eddie Higgins on piano, Art Davis on bass, and Clifford Jordan on tenor saxophone.
